00:06 [Applause] 00:08 [Music] 00:20 Eureka faith and we GT our goals or 00:23 Drive 00:25 [Music] 00:30 2020 Nissan GTR 50th anniversary 1999 00:34 Nissan Skyline GTR v-spec so we're 00:38 actually comparing to base side blue 00:40 GTRs yes we are and you probably noticed 00:43 that I am on the right-hand side of the 00:45 vehicle so this has been imported from 00:46 Japan and this was the first year that 00:48 bayside blue was offered and that is the 00:50 first year that bayside blue is back

so 00:53 before we get into all the other stuff 00:54 let's start with horsepower and torque 00:56 this r34 has been modified and it's 00:58 putting down five hundred and four wheel 01:00 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque 01:02 from an RB 26 de TT two point six litre 01:07 twin turbo inline 6 and this 2020 Nissan 01:10 GTR is putting out 565 horsepower and 01:14 467 pound-feet of torque from a 3.8 01:17 liter twin turbo v6 yes so I did say 01:20 this one's modified and it's

putting 01:21 that power down to the wheels so at the 01:23 crank they're actually pretty similar 01:24 four horsepower this one originally when 01:26 it came out it put down around 276 01:29 horsepower because in Japan there was a 01:31 gentlemen's agreement so that they 01:33 wouldn't go too crazy but realistically 01:35 this was probably around 300 320 so we 01:37 should probably downshift and see how 01:39 this power feels I'm going to downshift 01:40 with my left han d and ready to

send 01:42 three go to one 01:48 oh my god this sounds so good I'm gonna 01:51 be real with you I'm pretty sure the new 01:53 ones a bit faster than that modified one 01:55 a little bit faster for sure what I also 01:57 have to take time to shift and I'm 01:59 shifting with my left hand and I'm on 02:01 the right hand side of the car so it's 02:02 all a little bit weird for me right now 02:03 and if anyone points out that this isn't 02:05 a good comparison bec ause that one's 02:06 modified

is 03:21 literally the best and to me it's the 03:24 fast and furious stuff man like Brian's 03:27 car how could that not be the most 03:28 legendary thing that's true fast and 03:30 furious definitely made this so popular 03:32 and then out of videogames I never 03:34 really cared for it in Gran Turismo but 03:36 juiced on Xbox that car beat every 03:39 single car and that's how I knew it was 03:40 something spe cial 03:41 I'm kind of the same I knew it existed 03:43 but I wasn't crazy about it

until I 03:45 literally drove it today today I'm 03:47 absolutely crazy about it and this is 03:49 straight up this is a dream car for me 03:51 now it's kind of like a bandwagon car 03:53 like the Supra you know what I mean like 03:54 if you really liked it you would have 03:56 bought it ten years ago but your way to 03:57 tell it's popular pop quiz what color 03:59 was Brian's skyline and too fast to o 04:01 furious 04:02 wasn't it blue no that was in Fast and 04:05 Furious floor oh and he was

caught 04:07 trying to get into that race into Mexico 04:09 in two it was silver with the blue 04:11 stripes 04:12 you're right silver with the thing on 04:13 the side and did you know it was 04:15 supposed to be an SRT for neon but Craig 04:18 Lieberman who has a YouTube channel who 04:19 was the car guy professor furious made 04:21 the switch because he knew Godzilla had 04:23 to be the hero car I did not know that 04:25 but Thank You Craig fee Burman and then 04:27 in future fast appearances

he drove on 04:29 our 35 remember when he was doing that 04:30 race at his like house in Dominican with 04:33 Dom in the charger oh yeah challenger 04:35 yeah this is like way down into the Fast 04:37 and Furious stuff yeah that was fast six 04:39 where they drove this one in Fast Five 04:40 they had the 1970 GTR yeah that's right 04:43 so the owner of this particular car he's 04:46 actually owned that original of hakosuka 04:48 he's owned the r32 the r33 the r34 this 04:52 particular one and

he's also owned in 04:54 our 35 but 04:56 35 which actually says a lot about this 04:59 one yeah honestly that car is like the 05:01 coolest and seeing it in my rearview 05:02 mirror like it feels straight out of 05:04 fast and furious and I don't say that a 05:06 lot but it had a big effect on 05:10 so let's get into the GT Earnest these 05:13 are both GTRs this is n't our 34 that is 05:16 an r35 gt-r stands for Gran Turismo 05:19 racer but there was no non GTR version 05:23 of the our 35

correct and that's 05:25 actually not even called a skyline this 05:27 is a skyline gt-r that's just the GTR 05:29 which makes the r34 05:31 cooler and since the r32 the GTR has 05:34 been known as Godzilla so yes we are 05:36 driving Godzilla's so why is yours a V 05:39 spec what does that mean it stands for 05:41 victory specification that's pretty bol d 05:43 of them oh yeah straight up and they 05:46 even had a V spec to later this one has 05:48 a different all-wheel-drive system and 05:50 it

has an active LSD it also has stiffer 05:53 suspension a lip kit and a carbon rear 05:55 diffuser this particular car has been 05:57 modified to actually include Nismo stuff 05:59 so we have an ismo carbon-fiber hood 06:01 we've got a different front bumper we've 06:03 got side skirts so it doesn't look 06:05 exactly like this but pretty clos e I 06:07 think the way that the owner did this 06:08 car is absolutely perfect yeah I would 06:10 prefer the too fast to furious look but 06:12 for what

that is it's amazing no that'd 06:14 be gross this is perfect these wheels 06:16 are also perfect they are work emotion 06:19 d9 r19 I love how they look I love the 06:22 lips on them and everything I've got a 06:24 fun fact for you guess what the 06:26 Continental recommended tire was for 06:28 Bryan's GTR in too fast too furious 06:31 I don't know what it is from back then 06:32 but I can tell you the current one would 06:34 be the extreme contact sport 06:35 if too fast too furious Bryan's

GTR was 06:38 rolling on Conti Sport contact twos 06:40 right on and this is the 50th 06:42 anniversary we don't get the Nismo in 06:44 Canada but we've got some like ugly 06:46 stickers on here it is Bayside blue 06:48 which is awesome and don't forget about 06:50 your really disgusting blue wheels which 06:52 I am NO T a fan of yeah they're ugly but 06:54 it's kind of funny and I've got colored 06:56 brake calipers I am not too fond of the 06:58 yellow brake calipers on your skyline 06:59 yeah

the owner also changed those I like 07:02 how they perform and I don't mind the 07:03 looks at all you know why are you so far 07:04 behind me can you not keep up with the 07:06 r35 you know watch these twin turbos 07:08 full baby good 07:10 I love new things so you have a manual 07:15 transmission 07:15 I can only have paddles in the r35 yeah 07:18 so I've got a six-speed manual and it 07:20 feels fan friggin tastic there is no 07:23 problem with this manual transmission I 07:25 love

it 07:26 the clutch isn't weird nothing about 07:28 this is weird it's like actually so 07:30 perfectly reminds me have my old 240 07:31 reminds me of that 300zx we drove like 07:34 it's great you also have a six-speed 07:36 with two clutches actually over there 07:37 honestly I love how many si milarities 07:40 there are for like having it go over the 07:42 years you want to talk about some of the 07:43 similarities and differences I would 07:45 love to but I just can I just send it 07:46 one

last time Oh baby 07:50 this is so good well the skyline 07:53 definitely sounds better than this GTR 07:55 yeah absolutely this guy modified it to 07:57 perfection Pfizer test three two one 08:01 laughs ah fail similarities and 08:04 differences let's start with the looks 08:06 ever ything 08:07 okay let's start with the taillights the 08:09 taillights are the most similar thing 08:11 ever when we were filming our solo our 08:13 35 view and you're ripping away and I 08:14 saw those taillights

light up I couldn't 08:16 differentiate between this and the r34 08:18 biggest differentiating factor from 08:20 behind would probably be the gigantic 08:22 wing that I have on the r34 now r35 has 08:25 a smaller spoiler but I think it still 08:27 captures the same essenc e I totally 08:29 agree and I don't like when people 08:31 modify those and delete the spoilers 08:32 what do you think of the quad exhaust on 08:34 the r35 I love it I even like it more 08:36 than the single exit on this one

yeah 08:38 yeah I'm thinking the same thing but I 08:39 don't know if they could have pulled 08:40 that off back then but this one has 08:42 obviously been modified so this is a 08:43 single exit I believe it's a Tomei 08:45 exhaust and it does sound pretty go od 08:46 but let's talk about these exhaust 08:48 sounds because this is an inline 6 and 08:50 that is a v6 they sound so different but 08:53 there are some characteristics that are 08:54 actually kind of the same yeah I 08:55 definitely

prefer the sound of the r34 08:57 more but this is our 35 is definitely 09:00 more livable yeah this our 34 is just so 09:02 creamy I'll just give you another sample 09:03 here we go 09:05 oh so good and now for the r35 09:08 [Music] 09:12 not as g ood sounds like a fax machine 09:14 from here next similarity we've got big 09:17 beefy squared off rear quarter panels 09:20 but it does have that similar arch line 09:22 over the rear wheel that you have except 09:24 mine's just a lot higher yeah

that rear 09:26 arch line over the rear wheels on the 09:27 r34 is my favorite part of it because 09:29 that's what really gives it that like 09:30 wide-body look and then as for side 09:32 profiles it's cool that we both have 09:34 fra meless doors yeah yeah I think 09:36 there's not too many similarities an 09:37 overall side profile but I don't think 09:39 there really need to be and if we move 09:41 on to the front end obviously we've got 09:43 the GTR logo up front Center pretty

much 09:45 exactly the same thing yeah I'm pretty 09:47 sure it's the exact same logo so I love 09:49 it and then in this r35 version they 09:51 changed the headlight design to kind of 09:53 come up into it which may not be the 09:55 coolest looking thing but I think it was 09:56 really necessary to like refresh the 09:59 design into the future 10:00 it does take it into the future but I do 10:02 prefer this old-school design which is a 10:04 very cliche thing to say yeah this is 10:05 still an

old-school design this car is 10:07 ancient I mean it kind of is make sure 10:09 you watch our full review on that car 10:11 and what's cool is both front ends you 10:12 can see nice big intercoolers even 10:15 t hough this one's been modified it does 10:16 look so good and the engine bay on this 10:18 RB 26 looks so good as well and we got a 10:20 cool engine bay on the r35 - it's like 10:23 wicked yeah they carried through that 10:25 red color I love it but overall there 10:27 are a lot of

visual similarities from 10:29 both front ends they're both like flat 10:30 and stocky I think they both look 10:32 awesome 10:33 and honestly not being able to see them 10:34 side-by-side I wouldn't think that 10:36 there's that many similarities but 10:37 seeing them side-by-side I do see the 10:39 resemblance 10:40 so looks wise if pop culture wasn't a 10:42 thing and right hand drive wasn't a 10:45 thing in manual wasn't a thing which one 10:46 would you take more our 34 I just have 10:49 to

I liked the r34 but I think the our 10:51 35 is so close to being as cool-looking 10:54 I totally agree and it really helps that 10:56 it's in Bayside blues 11:00 yeah and since this is a dual-clutch you 11:02 pretty much have to drive it with the 11:03 paddles because it's so slow to shift an 11:05 automatic yeah and I've got no problem 11:07 over here cuz I've got a six-speed male 11:09 then I'm shifting with my left hand so 11:11 now let's switch up the drivers because 11:12 I need to do some

right-hand driving 11:14 let's talk about the interiors and then 11:16 head over to cliche corner and figure 11:17 out which one do we like more through 11:19 the twisties oh m y god the boost hits so 11:24 hard in this okay I mean yeah this is 11:27 good too 11:31 oh my god this thing is crazy 11:35 [Music] 11:38 that the r35 is definitely like quicker 11:41 to react and faster but this just feels 11:43 so much more raw it does this feels like 11:45 I'm driving a computer so besides

this 11:47 being right-hand driving me hitting the 11:48 wipers like six times and looking out 11:50 the window to like change lanes and 11:52 change gears let's ge t into the 11:53 interiors and let's start with the 11:55 gauges mine are analog are yours yes 11:57 they are I've got a little bit of 11:59 digital mists in them but their overall 12:00 analog and then I have a multifunction 12:03 display which is a screen that shows all 12:05 my gauges and stuff in like temperatures 12:06 how about

the our 35 12:08 our 35 also has that if I hit the 12:10 function button pretty much all the same 12:12 gauges pretty much the same graphic 12:14 design yeah yeah people want old-school 12:16 Nissan's giving you old-school and my 12:19 geometry of where I'm supposed to be on 12:21 the road is completely off right-hand 12:22 drive that would definitely take like a 12:24 week to get used to yeah I got used to 12:26 it pretty quickly but I haven't gone 12:27 through any drive throughs or

anything 12:28 like that but but shifting on the 12:30 left-hand side is pretty easy like 12:32 that's not weird to me at all no exactly 12: 33 I just prefer to shift with my right 12:35 hand how about a manually brake because 12:37 I have one of those I also have one of 12:39 those Oh awesome I've got two cupholders 12:42 I also have two cupholders but both of 12:45 mine are round is your as a four-seater 12:46 yes it is barely so is the r34 I think 12:50 just that's barely the seats are

really 12:52 comfortable in the r35 how about yours 12:54 very comfortable in the r34 kind of just 12:56 like my old Nissan 240 and I've got 12:58 loops in the seat so I could put a 13:00 harness through those are in no way 13:01 relatively similar to your 240 no no man 13:04 it smells the same way yeah the seats 13:07 don't feel the same way love smells from 13:10 that generation yeah probably so if I 13:12 mess around with my multifunction 13:13 display I can get shift lights can you 13:15 get

them in the GTR yes it's actually in 13:18 the middle of my gauges though I'm 13:19 actually surprised at how simila r these 13:21 are it's like a very consistent 13:23 experience they did carry the essence 13:25 over the r34 into here and just kind of 13:28 I think that's the most important part 13:30 in giving Bayside blue for the 50th 13:32 anniversary it's like the icing on the 13:34 cake yeah that's a good move 13:35 just remove the stickers though so I 13:37 have a really old school style

steering 13:39 wheel but it still has an air bag in it 13:41 and it says gt-r on the center I've also 13 :43 got GTR on the center but I do have a 13:45 bunch of buttons on here and I obviously 13:46 have some paddles and this does feel so 13:49 digital in comparison to how that one 13:51 feels and your whole interior is much 13:53 more luxurious than this r34 you've got 13:56 that nice blue color yeah this is pretty 13:58 much straight up a GT car more than a 14:00 sports car I think and in

terms of drive 14:01 modes this bar 35 does have three 14:04 different adjustments so I'm en joying 14:05 our mode in every single one how about 14:07 you 14:07 I got a manual transmission and three 14:09 pedals so that's just good enough for me 14:11 that's probably better actually can I 14:14 point out that this is like the best 14:15 pedal placement and the best gearbox 14:17 ampere I totally agree I've got no 14:20 issues with it you can heel-toe I love 14:22 everything about that and I feel

like 14:24 I'm even sitting in a better seating 14:25 position in the r34 then t he r35 like 14:27 nice and low you're totally right about 14:29 that - it's a lower driving position and 14:31 I think I like that more but this is 14:33 just a much more comfortable car this is 14:35 a better day lead 100% oh yeah I think 14:37 if you can't commit to being the r34 guy 14:40 who's driving around wrong hand drive 14:42 and like everyone looking at your car 14:44 there are 35 is a perfect

like 14:47 substitute but let's find out for sure 14:49 through clic he corner so now that we're 14:51 at cliche corner time for a big send so 14:53 we can make our final decision on both 14:55 of these cars I got a bad feeling I know 14:57 which one I like more yeah me too but 14:59 I'm gonna send this one anyways so 15:01 that's our 34 I don't think it's 15:03 traction control I don't know if the 15:05 rear-wheel steering still works and 15:07 driving on the wrong side of the road

my 15:09 geometry is way off I'm gonna take it 15:11 kin d of easy but still have a good time 15:13 in the r35 oh my god this this handles 15:17 incredibly well it does feel pretty damn 15:19 flat and it just feels so digital that's 15:22 the thing that I noticed the most it's 15:24 so digital this higher driving position 15:27 that our 34 is so good 15:29 these brakes are nice oh my god the best 15:32 downshift ever 15:35 oh it sounds amazing too 15:42 and it does get a little squirrely 15:45 oh

my god it does have a tendency to 15:49 unde rsteer it wants to push out and then 15:52 if I stay in it so I'm gonna do that 15:53 right now stay in it and oversteer man 15:57 this handles so well but it just feels 16:00 like it's doing everything for me it 16:02 feels so digital does not feel analog at 16:05 all which I mean some people want that 16:08 but I don't think I want that this feels 16:11 like there's no safety blanket but you 16:14 don't really need if I kind of do this 16:16 is a

really fast 16:17 oh my god so w e're gonna switch drivers 16:19 now and I'm going to take the newer GTR 16:21 through cliche but I have a bad feeling 16:23 I'm not going to get much more seat time 16:25 with this so I'm going to give it 16:26 another sand 16:31 oh my god Jacob I think I matched you're 16:35 ripping it's sex face 16:38 finally I'm probably never gonna get to 16:40 drive this again am i this is the last 16:44 moment of my enjoyment in this beautiful 16:46 car 16:47 yo Jacob I need

the are 35 okay 17:55 yeah I'm thinking it out of our traction 17:57 for a cliche corner I'm gonna keep it in 17:59 normal because I feel like it's just as 18:01 crazy yeah I definitely had it an hour 18:02 but this one I'm just a manual so here 18:05 we go so right off the bat this just 18:07 feels so analog and I absolutely love it 18:09 let's downshift into third and send oh 18:13 my god this is so good well a little bit 18:16 of oversteer there man even rolling into 18:18 cliche corner t his

feels a lot less 18:19 commitment with the automatic being on 18:21 the normal side of the road having 18:23 traction assist this feels pretty 18:25 similar to that other GTR but way more 18:27 analog and just that sound oh yes God I 18:32 absolutely love this I've totally made 18:33 up my mind this is the best car ever 18:36 this might be the best car I've ever 18:39 driven 18:42 until I actually drove it and this feels 18:44 like so much faster if it was a track I 18:48 could d efinitely take

that r34 with this 18:51 there's pretty much no understeer it 18:53 goes exactly where you want to go the 18:55 steering wheel doesn't feel weird the 18:57 brakes don't feel weird the gas doesn't 18:58 feel weird like feeling weird is a 19:00 problem and this doesn't do that I love 19:02 this I'm gonna be real with you Jacob 19:04 the launch control in this newer GTR is 19:08 absolutely insane and the speed that I 19:10 can get through cliche corners safely is 19:12 o ut of this world it's just

so much 19:14 easier to drive that car faster no 19:17 question yeah but if you can commit to 19:18 the right-hand drive gimmick commit to 19:20 all the fanboys giving you thumbs up 19:22 non-stop that our 34 is way cooler we've 19:25 been getting non-stop attention 19:27 especially driving buff yes together but 19:29 even this one by itself is insane 19:31 everybody on that Highway was giving me 19:33 thumbs up I love this thing so much so 19:35 we should probably get to the price

this 19:37 2020 Nissan GTR 50th anniversary aspect 19:40 is 139 nine nine eight Canadian and 19:43 everyone's probably wondering what this 19:45 is currently worth it is worth just over 19:47 a hundred thousand dollars Canadian 19:49 depending on the spec however the owner 19:51 has already been getting offers from us 19:53 people offering him like crazy amounts 19:56 and asking him to store it in Canada 19:58 until it's road-legal which is 20: 02 so I think we both agree that we like 20:04 the

r34 better right absolutely this is 20:07 the one I love but I think I know which 20:09 one someone should buy if they had a 20:11 choice between the two they should buy 20:13 both really well like if you could 20:15 afford one 20:16 you could probably work a little harder 20:17 and afford both and that way you get the 20:20 best of both worlds in Bayside blue all 20:22 right I wasn't expecting you to say that 20:24 but I mean I gue ss so yeah and I mean 20:26 like you know say you go for a
