[Music] hmm i'm yuri i'm jacob gordon for a drive [Music] oh [Music] 2020 lamborghini aventador svj roadster with thrust mode [Music] oh my god horsepower torque 759 horsepower 531 pound-feet of torque from a six and a half liter v12 holy bananas oh my god hey hey car of the year yes 100 yeah yeah and if you like watching us drive these insane cars and maybe want to see us drive them on the track someday hit subscribe so that they know to bring us out on these trips to these

exotic places subscribe all right i want to start with the looks because this is our first aventador and we've driven urakons in the past and ursus but this is kind of the real lamborghini yes it really is so starting with the front it's a lot pointier than an arkhan so we have a bunch of extra vents on the front because it's the svj so we have a bunch of ala aerodynamics up front and it looks extra wild compared to the regular aventador and that's where all the crazy stuff happens t o keep you

pushed to the ground this has 40 percent more downforce because of all that than the regular sv yeah and this is the 2.0 because we already drove the huracan performante which has the ala system as well so this is an even wilder version but i guess we really need to be on the track to like fully feel it out yeah for sure even though the regular aventador looks really wild as it is i always like lamborghinis with less stuff on it but i kind of really like this and this is a roadster yes and even

compared to the regular sv yes regular sv this is extra wild because it's the j and we actually saw this get launched in geneva in 2019. yeah i completely forgot until you told me that that happened we've got the new aventador svj roadster basically the same as the svj world record but they cut the roof off kept the wing and the doors still go up when i said world record i meant nurburgring obviously and then two years later we're driving one okay the front en d do you like this more than the

urkon i love this more than everything okay we got really cool drl's they're like the triangle thing which is pretty much everything lamborghini and this thing coming up behind you is so menacing okay so side view i mean it's wild the doors obviously go up i think we don't really need to say that that's our first lamborghini with doors that go up yeah finally and then we got huge vents back there there are honestly so many vents that it's hard to k eep track yeah aventador get it event in a door

that joke's never been made and then seeing that huge wing at the back makes it so awesome yeah that's an svj special and on the side near the front you can see the one of 800 plaque yes so this is one of 800 in roadster spec and there's one of 900 in regular coupe spec and all around this thing there's a ton of extra carbon fiber because we've got a bunch of extra packages on this one including the 17 000 extra paint and i usually hate blue but this is like really really special the amount of

cars that i've purchased under that value like whole cars not just paintwise is kind of crazy every car except for one of mine yeah exactly same here and then from the back we have the normal aventador tail lights which in the veloster ends that we said those tail lights look like these and now we get to drive them yes and then we have a bunch of crazy vents back there everything is real we have a wild diffuser and we have t he realest exhaust ever here's what it sounds like and you can pull both

paddles to put it in neutral which is perfect and then we can also kind of see the engine behind us but you gotta peek through the cracks we can see the v12 we can see the firing order and everything yes you can actually take that entire cover off however i do not want to do that because there are four clips to do that and then you actually have to have two people to lift the entire cover off i don't want to be r esponsible for that so we're just gonna show you through those beautiful vents and

what do you think of these wheels i love them they're black though yeah yeah but it looks really good it fits the car really well i like the brake calipers nice and gold carbon ceramics you do have to pay extra for the gold obviously bro at this price which is way too ridiculous who cares what you're paying extra pretty much this is such a rich people car that you don't care about tickets or anything because you have no visibility in here this you can't see out of the rear view mirror you just

see engine basically i see wing and nothing else and then i like see like large trucks behind me and that's about it and for those of you who think we're lucky to be driving this it is very stressful for us to get this because we need to pay so much money for extra insurance and everything for this and don't get us wrong we are lucky to drive this but it is also a major hassle to be able t o actually put out a review on this because unlike a lot of other car viewers we're not rich and then

glued down to anything in cliche it's wild i think the ala is doing something unless everything else in this car is just as crazy no no it's 100 doing everything as you can see in your game i can see it's just hard because like i haven't done like a day where i've experimented with downforce and non-downforce and like fully figured out for myself as a non-race car d river yeah and it's not like you can turn this on or off anyways it just kind of regulates based on speed and actually temperature

obvious but this is so much crazier than like we even thought yeah and it is all-wheel drive which actually gives you so much confidence in those launches i don't think i would want this with rear-wheel drive no it definitely wouldn't be as fast like as cool as i think it is to be like yeah i'm badass rubio drive manual like definitely not in this yeah so we do have a seven speed single clutch transmission different than the huracan's dual clutch and it operates pretty crazy so if i just floor

it and then up shift it gives us a light shift depending on what rpm you're at so if i go to a higher rpm i'll go to like six thousand seven thousand it gives you that violent shift and it's so cool very perfectly programmed but it's also a little disconcerting because i don't know i f i'm gonna lose traction because it's such a violent shift but i mean this held the record up until like yesterday on the nurburgrings yes for the fastest production car ever so i feel like they got it pretty dialed

yes and by the time everyone watches this it's a couple days ago a couple weeks ago yeah it was the mercedes amg gtr black series hey we haven't even done the supercar checklist yet oh yeah i'm actually not sure if this is a supercar is it fast is it loud yep yep oh my go d oh the most yes and yes does it get a lot of attention hell yeah it does everybody takes their phones out to take a picture of this you feel like a goddamn celebrity in this do the doors go up yes yes they finally do because

we have the v12 do you look cool getting in and out of it the coolest like absolutely the coolest however at my height with the roof on it's a little bit of a pain in the neck yeah and for me not being tall which is the best thing in the world no issues and th at's why i love this being a roadster because then it's not a pain in the neck and you look really cool how about the backs test our newest box test member adam r it does not fit a box pass cannot fit a box supercar yes what about the visor

test um that's a full fail so super power pass cup holder so it's actually not going to fit this small tim orton's coffee because it's resting around on lip and it's going to spill everywhere so that's a super car pass because that's a total fail a nd then carbon fiber is there a lot of it tons of it this thing is basically all carbon fiber and then gimmicky steering wheel not really but in the really nice paddles this is one of the first lamborghinis that doesn't have the signal on the steering

wheel yeah it's got a normal turnstock but it's like way low and large all right so leave a comment below is this a supercar or not it is a supercar this is the definition of a supercar checklist and it's definitely a bit of a pain to t ake this carbon fiber top off it's not the worst but it's really cool that you can store it in the front i'm just terrified of touching the carbon fiber to each other because they're kind of resting on each other with a little bit of foam between them yeah

it's fine though worth it so before i send it in cliche corner let's get into some of the fun super technical stuff and what makes this an svj starting with what the hell svj means super velocity so that means super fast in italian and what's the j jotta which was from the fia regulations basically appendix j in the fia regulations certified race cars so they added that to this this is a race car basically because it passes all the certifications yeah so that's pretty damn cool and it does zero

to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.9 seconds which i think is easily repeatable thanks to this all-wheel drive yeah even though we're on winters it's still like super lightning fast and this also has four wheel stee ring and you really notice it in parking lots and stuff yeah i can't notice that on cliche because i'm not sure if that's just downforce or not and there is a lot more technical stuff plus some sound but cliche time oh my god the turn in is instant and holy crap that sound i mean you

can't really criticize anything about the way this drives it's it's perfect they made the perfect car criticizing the way this drives is beyond my pay grade oh yeah way beyond anything this held the n urburgring record for like two years and this is the second nurburgring record holder that we've driven recently that had the production record because the gt2 rs because we also drove a couple others with the four-door stuff the amg gts so i like this streak that we're on yeah so you know what's

next just call me yuri nurburg tarshin and jacob nurburg the straight pipes yeah because we're gonna have to drive the amg gtr black series now because that's the next one and i've never b een on the track but i play a lot of gt sport on the track so that kind of counts you know everyone knows i've driven two laps on the nurburgring in case you guys have forgotten as canadian rock icon chad kroger would say it's been a while since you mentioned that yeah it actually has anyways back to the

actual technical stuff this actually saves 50 kilograms over the sv which is already lighter weight because it has a titanium exhaust and a bunch more carbon fiber and now let' s talk about that exhaust sound which i've been dying to talk about because it sounds unreal sounds like an old f1 car it's so good it's perfect it literally is and then we also have this little tiny window here so if i press this button we can actually get a little bit of extra sound from this engine and it sounds

just just glorious yeah it helps a lot when you've got the tops on right now it's like pretty much deafening with that down yes it really is and we also have some c rackers and pops which i'm going to give a little bit right now uh it only does it sometimes back to the window up so you guys can hear us that's a huge difference yeah so now on to the drive mode stuff we do have four different drive modes and unlike the huracan we actually have an ego mode which is your custom mode so i've

been feeding my ego driving in ego mode all the time however we also have corso which basically turns everything off puts this thing into rocket ship mo de and then straw does your street mode and sports your sport mode every mode is still insane it really is and even if you drive an automatic just flooring it out of nowhere is still super impressive but if you put it in strata watch how smooth the shifts are it's so smooth rather than the violence for an aventador not in general and that also

changes our adaptive magneto-rheological push rod suspension which i thought would be like unbearably stiff it's amazing it's the best it's perfectly damped i mean i know how much this costs so i expected them to pull some magic and make this very livable but svj nurburgring record holder in my head it's like oh my back's gonna hurt that i think at a certain price they just like no matter what we'll make it good this isn't a 370 nismo no and speaking of not having our backs broken these seats

are really supportive yeah very firm i love firm seats more than like anything yeah and this interior is really nice super light weight we've got carbon fiber door panels we also have lightweight door pulls yo there's nowhere to grab on to when we were going through cliche i almost grabbed this hand well i guess that kind of yeah and then there's also no carpets so your feet kind of slide around on this like grip tape material yeah do a kickflip and in the passenger seat it's nice because you can

push your feet right up against the firewall or whatever in the front and on the driver's side your left foot has a perfect spot it's a little tight for me i would have light a little bit more for my left foot and then we got alcantara a lot of cool blue piping everything in here is very very luxurious yes super luxurious more carbon fiber in the center panel and then that's where we also have our infotainment which is a little bit old but it's got everything you need including apple carplay yes

do we have android auto no we don't and does it matter no it doesn't because i got an iphone yeah yeah i phone and the infotainment does have serious xm satellite radio couldn't figure out how to rewind and we have hard buttons for actually controlling the infotainment because you have to use this dial it's not a touch screen overall it's actually really functional it's what i want for a lambo yeah exactly and then we also have a nose lift system up here which works so quickly yeah not confusing

at all and then back to these doors so these poles there so you can bring the door down to y ou and then to open the door we've got this little panel here which seems a little tricky if you have fat fingers yeah and those door pulls actually work really well because my wife's a little bit short but she had no trouble pulling them to close the door and my favorite feature is that there's actually a phone shaped slot here on the right near the apple carplay usb plug that fits a phone perfectly like

no new cars have that but then this aventador that is not supposed to be good fo r tack has that yeah funny enough my promax is gonna have to start fitting in every like wireless charger and it's probably too big for a lot of them so get ready for those complaints and lastly storage in here there's like a little cubby behind the seats right here which works for putting my fanny pack with like my wallet and stuff and that's about it yeah because there is no glove box in here it's just prioritizes

speed worth it just one more send for this special occasion through cliche corner man the power delivery is so good from this naturally aspirated v12 that i feel is probably the last generation of something this incredible love oh there's those crackles and you might not be crazy enough to look at your gauge cluster while you're ripping through but i can see exactly how much downforce is getting pushed on the front and the back with the ala system there it is so cool to see that and for

the record i am crazy enough because i'm always looking for my 8 700 rpm redline because i love seeing it but we also have shift lights at the top which are pretty awesome and not a complaint but this goes through fuel very quickly very very quickly hey i saw a guy a hero i should say who wrote an article showing that like ferraris actually take less carbon emissions than other cars because they get driven so much less that is true i like it makes sense to me i feel like people drive lambos a

lot more than they actually drive ferraris p eople drive ferraris just to buy them and store them okay yeah maybe it's different for these but anyways and i feel like that's pretty much everything we can talk about about this aventador on this cold november day let's get to the price well yuri this is by far the most expensive car we've driven with a starting price of seven hundred thousand two hundred and thirty eight dollars canadian and this one is optioned out to a glorious seven hundred

ninety one thousand five hundred seventy eight dollars i would say worth it because rich people have so much money to spend and it doesn't matter it's worth every penny this is my favorite car i've ever driven by far so for all you fellow poors out there like us who say this is too expensive like we can't comprehend this people buy jets this is that kind of stuff this costs more than a house the one thing that i can understand how rich this is is the fact that i can't see anything back there the
