like 03:02 you know 95 actual lamborghini so i 03:05 think you actually do get the value for 03:06 your dollar when you buy the aorus and 03:08 when you buy this as well 03:09 how about the rsq-a it looks compared to 03:11 the urus looks 03:12 i mean i think the urus looks way better 03:14 does it look 150 thousand dollars better 03:16 i think it does but this rsq-8 still 03:18 looks really good especially when you 03:20 get it in like the green color not so 03:22 much in this gray 03:23 yeah

the green color is a lot better if 03:24 you want to have it look wilder 03:26 but if you get in one of these dark 03:27 colors it's very subtle 03:29 but you still do get extremely sporty 03:32 big suv 03:33 yeah it just it really feels like an 03:35 audi it's still just as comfortable as 03:37 any audi have basically driven 03:38 even though it's an rs so in the 03:40 stiffest mode 03:42 it's still not as stiff as the urus but 03:44 i did see that there is an abt 03:46 version of the audi rsq8

that schmidt 03:48 did a review on 03:49 and that thing with the aero kit i think 03:52 that fully competes looks wise 03:54 with the lamborghini and i would 03:55 actually prefer that over in urus 03:57 wild so back to what makes this actually 03:59 feel like an audi is this air suspension 04:01 even though it is rs tuned it's so 04:03 comfortable and in the highest 04:05 off-road mode it goes ridicu lously high 04:07 now the confusing part about the drive 04:09 modes is that there's

all-road 04:11 and off-road so i think off-road is 04:13 slightly more off-roady than all road 04:15 and other than that we do have comfort 04:16 auto dynamic and then two adjustable rs 04:19 modes on the steering wheel which is 04:20 really nice to have that button yeah 04:21 kind of like the bmw 04:22 m1 m2 one but we've got rs1 and rs2 04:26 yeah on the same button and the general 04:28 layout of everything in here is just 04:30 like every other audi which is totally 04:31 different than the

urus as well but the 04:33 infotainments are pretty much the exact 04:35 same thing just reskinned for 04:36 lamborghini yeah but you don't get that 04:38 like cool toggle switch with like the 04:39 jet fighter cockpit stuff like the cool 04:41 stuff in the lambo yeah the hard stuff 04:43 is different in the lambo but the 04:45 software 04:45 is the same and in terms of drivabi lity 04:47 this does have quattro all-wheel drive 04:50 and the aorus was also all-wheel drive 04:51 but that was a lot

driftier feeling this 04:53 one doesn't feel so rear biased even 04:55 though it can 04:56 send up to 80 of the torque to the rear 04:58 wheels yes and it can really push 05:00 through corners with that all-wheel 05:01 drive system to the point where 05:03 you're faster than a lot of cars yeah 05:05 it's insanely quick so let's test that 05:07 through cliche corner the turn in 05:09 response is insanely good 05:11 i feel like it understeers less than 05:12 other audis even sedans 05:14 and once

that quattro all-wheel drive 05:16 decides what wheel to give power to 05:18 it really pulls you through all the 05:19 corners it does i don't feel like it 05:21 pulls 05:22 nearly as well as the earth did but 05:24 that's kind of what we expect out of 05:25 this yeah and it doesn't feel as rear 05:27 biased it just feels very neutral and 05:29 it's an 0 5:30 enjoyable experience it's very 05:31 pleasurable to drive this car fast it's 05:33 the right amount of power and handling 05:35 for the

amount insane amount of comfort 05:38 you get in this yeah you can 05:39 realistically be in any drive mode and 05:40 throw anybody into here and they'll be 05:42 just as comfortable in this because 05:44 if you don't drive this fast it just 05:45 feels like a really luxurious suv and so 05:47 now i'm going to downshift so we can 05:48 hear s ome exhaust 05:50 pretty quiet in here but 05:55 really good on the upper rpms not so 05:57 good down low 06:00 yeah yeah when you're shifting high

up 06:01 it's pretty good not quite as good as 06:04 yours but from expect from outside 06:06 it's nice except if you're parked 06:07 because you can't rev it out all the way 06:09 exactly 06:13 and we do have an eight speed auto which 06:15 shifts really quick it's the same 06:17 transmission that we have basically 06:18 across t he entire audi lineup and pretty 06:20 much in the entire industry at this 06:21 point 06:22 yeah no complaints except for the 06:23 plastic paddles yes and well

you 06:25 actually have another complaint is the 06:26 direction of the up down yeah i've kind 06:28 of accepted that down as to downshift up 06:30 as to up shift i did see 06:31 in the marketing videos where they're 06:33 like going fast and the person goes back 06:35 and i'm like 06:35 ah he downshifts instead of ups hifting 06:37 but really he was just putting it into 06:39 sport while driving straight 06:40 yeah sport shifting it's like oh i gotta 06:42 shift faster put it into sport

shifting 06:44 but don't actually up shift like what 06:46 yeah marketing be marketing right 06:47 exactly and they're still speeding up 06:49 footage like 06:52 guys stop speeding up footage 06:54 [Music] 07:00 so there's still a lot to talk about 07:01 with this suv with the inside and the 07:03 outside b ut let's get you 07:04 behind the driver's seat all right let 07:06 me hop back there okay behind the 07:07 driver's seat yeah yeah yeah yeah 07:08 yeah that's what i mean like i just

want 07:10 to keep driving you're just going to 07:11 talk from back there so things i like 07:12 about this audi for daily driving we've 07:15 got 07:15 apple carplay that you plug in with the 07:16 usb and then it also gives you the 07:18 option 07:19 to do wireless apple carplay i don't 07:21 like wireless artful carplay but i know 07:22 a lot of people do 07:23 having both is the best idea ever and 07:26 while you've got your apple carplay up 07:27 you've also got all these buttons

here 07:29 on the left so you can still go to 07:30 different screens without having to push 07:32 too many buttons 07:32 which is a great thing that a lot of 07:34 other companies are screwing up yeah and 07:35 this is one of my favorite infotainment 07:37 systems in the industry 07 :38 then in our head up display everything 07:41 is very clear it doesn't hurt my eyes 07:43 like that rav4 07:44 that we're also driving this week yes 07:46 shout out to that video if you watched 07:47 it yet if

it's out either way the 07:48 head-up display is great you have to 07:49 turn it off through the infotainment 07:50 system 07:51 but it'll also change if you're not in 07:53 an rs mode it'll go to the normal one 07:55 and then when you go to the rs mode 07:57 that'll also change your gauge cluster 07:58 up so let's do that then there's a view 08:00 button to change it up 08:01 again we can also in the view mode click 08:04 the menu button and go 08:05 down to reduce display to have

less 08:07 stuff or we can add more stuff like a 0 08:10 to 100 timer but i really don't like 08:12 that tack i think they just should have 08:13 had a circle tack like they had on the 08:14 previous gen rs's but i do like this and 08:17 the reason is when you combine it with 08:19 your map 08:19 it's got a cool angle very nice graphic 08:22 design solutions the cool angle is 08:24 definitely kind of cool but now i got to 08:25 test out that launch timer 08:27 launch control 08:37 hot tamale

that's fast 08:44 geez it really sends you that second 08:46 gear i like the launch control works 08:48 all the time it's so easy to use nothing 08:50 confusing about it like a bmw would be 08:52 yeah and it'll do zero to 100 08:54 under four secon ds every single time and 08:56 we've got some performance pages in here 08:57 do you find them useful at all 08:59 it's kind of cool that you can see all 09:00 your temperatures i would really 09:01 appreciate that on the racetrack because 09:02 then

you can see your brake rotor 09:04 temperature i feel like i'm spoiled by 09:05 everyone who's got a built-in 09:07 dash cam recorder and anything that has 09:09 less than that i'm kind of just 09:10 disappointed but a lot of cars don't 09:11 have this which is really cool 09:13 and we've also got our off-road angles 09:15 and everything like that too 09:16 which i don't think many people are 09:17 really going to use in this i really 09:18 don't think so but 09:19 this price they can't not

include it yes 09:21 and we do have a 09:23 amazing 360 camera in here everything is 09:26 very high-res 09:27 it does get a little warpy at the edges 09:29 which also happens 09:30 in porsches i guess it's like the same 09: 32 family so they probably share some of 09:33 the same tech but we also have the 09:35 augmented reality 360 mode where we can 09:37 spin around ourselves too yeah and that 09:39 works so much better than bmw's modes 09:41 and just 09:41 porsche doesn't even have that

mode 09:43 except in the ticon i think and the best 09:45 part about this 360 camera is wherever 09:47 you click 09:48 that section will show up so you can see 09:50 your front wheels your back wheels so 09:51 yo u don't curve anything while trying to 09:53 parallel park yeah because we've got 09:54 some massive 09:55 23-inch big boys on this one okay should 09:57 we talk about the looks a little bit 09:59 i would love to i think this thing looks 10:01 really good they did a great job

of 10:02 making this look more aggressive than 10:04 the luxurious looking 10:05 q8 and we do have the black optics with 10:07 the carbon package so everything just 10:09 looks even meaner than just 1 0:10 if you didn't have that yeah but the 10:12 carbon fiber like barely pops off this 10:14 gray color i think it really pops in the 10:15 sun on the front 10:16 it's nice having that little rsq8 badge 10:19 at the front even though you can only 10:20 see that little red part 10:22 and then we also

have the three indents 10:24 in the grille kind of like the r8 10:26 what i don't like about the grill though 10:27 is that at the very bottom of the front 10:29 it's obviously fake grille where 10:31 everything else is real 10:33 i think if they put in some more effort 10:34 the overall look would have been better 10:36 and the headlights look pretty much the 10:37 same as we had on the regular q8 yeah 10:38 and then we got really cool sequential 10:40 turn lights and everything 10:41 how about

the side well first thing is 10:43 those 23 inch wheels i 10:44 love them and what would be the 10:46 continental recommended tire for the 10:48 rsq8 10:48 the conti sport cont act 6 which is what 10:51 we're riding on 10:52 and behind those sick wheels we've got 10:53 some massive clampers in the form of 10:56 ceramic brakes and they are huge love 10:58 seeing those gigantic red brake calipers 11:00 so moving around to the back end what do 11:02 you think of these 11:02 rs oval exhausts on the

sport exhaust 11:05 system yeah 11:06 they look nice but you can see different 11:07 exhausts inside that exhaust tip yeah 11:10 it's so weird seeing like 11:11 two different shapes inside the shape 11:13 but yeah it's a nice look 11:14 what i don't like is all the fake grill 11:16 mesh kind of pattern 11:18 around everything at the bottom but it's 11:19 kind of expected and this is a koopa 11:21 suv but there still is a whole bunch of 11:24 room 11:24 in the back seat how do you fit i

fit 11:26 fantastically back 11:28 there at six foot one and a half overall 11:30 this looks fantastic 11:31 it really does and it differentiates 11:33 itself from the oris just enough yeah it 11:35 can be wild if you get it in the green 11:36 and it can be very subtle 11:37 if you get in a dark color like this 11:39 yeah because if i saw one of these in 11:40 gray i wouldn't really notice that it 11:42 was an rsq8 unless i really looked and i 11:44 feel like the qa we drove 11:46 didn't have

any exhaust tips at all so 11:48 it's nice seeing exhaust tips here so i 11:50 guess it's my turn to test it through 11:51 cliche corner 11: 54 and it goes exactly where you point it 11:58 i'm not getting any understeer any 12:00 oversteer i'm not pushing it 12:01 to the limit but i can really feel it 12:04 pulling through 12:05 yeah on normal roads it's so perfect 12:08 it's just so neutral 12:10 this oh bad it's not like the wild 12:12 stallion like the maserati was like this 12:15 is just so

composed yeah yeah 100 12:17 and if you're not gonna be driving fast 12:19 say you need to drive in rush hour 12:20 traffic on t he highway 12:22 we also have very good lane keep assist 12:24 yeah an adaptive cruise and traffic jam 12:26 assist all that fun stuff works 12:27 really well in here yeah you can't take 12:29 your hands off the wheel for too long 12:31 without it bugging you 12:32 but it'll also recognize intersections 12:34 coming up so if you zone out 12:35 it'll slow you down

towards the lights 12:38 and part of driving it around daily if 12:39 you're not ripping it but also if you're 12:41 ripping it this does have all-wheel 12:42 steering and it helps you in parking 12:44 lots and it also helps you in sense so 12:46 now moving on to the interior 12:48 we do have massage seats up front they 12:50 are very comfortable 12:52 yeah heated and cooled we control 12:53 everything through the infotainment 12:55 through all these touch buttons and all 12:56 that stuff and it

works really well 12:57 yeah again this infotainment is very 13:00 good considering 13:01 how much of it is touch i don't know how 13:03 they got it so good 13:04 yeah and then we got a ton of gloss 13:05 black in here i hate that 13:07 but it's what he's doing in all their 13:09 cars now so 13:10 however it looks nice but then we have 13:12 matte carbon in here which is different 13:14 than the gloss carbon so i feel like 13:15 they should have done gloss in here as 13:17 well 13:17 class

against gloss though you got to 13:18 mix those materials up keep people 13:20 interested no way so then how about the 13:23 visors oh let's find out 13:24 oh i think i think they'll rip it off 13:26 three two one 13:28 yes we'll pass and then we've got two 13:31 fantastic cup holders but the grips 13:33 are very grippy if you've got a can in 13:35 there it's going to crush that can what 13:36 about the box test 13:38 one two three 13:43 four five 13:46 six seven eight 13:50 nine
