[Music] I'm Jacob on the area I'm beyond blue boys right I was a pretty good accent better than I thought mm eq Mercedes c300 4matic dragon wagon it's the first year of the wagon in North America it looks amazing it does look amazing because we love wagons because we're automotive journalists yeah we're just forced to love them but where's the manual transmission yeah no not in here okay this is all-wheel drive yes it is the 4matic means all-wheel drive what engine does this car have it has a
2-liter four-cylinder turbo and it's pretty quick yeah I honestly thought it felt like a v6 it's so linear the torque comes in really low you hit peak torque at 1300 rpm what's torque and horsepower 241 and 273 pound-feet of torque that's a lot for a little 2-liter it definitely feels like more horsepower yeah good this thing rips those German horsepower and torque numbers this is fast it's good like it's no one needs more than this you just want more than this yeah I think this is t he
appropriate amount of power for a Mercedes yes it scares the driver a little bit and then they go back into eco comfort if that's the driver no I'm talking for regular not enthusiast driver I am an AMG experienced yes sure this guy actually drove an AMG GTR with me yeah he was fine I was great all right good stuff box test nine nine that was pretty good for a wagon same as the Elantra GT but you can get more in the trunk you can get more in this if you like wedge it again st the roof panel but
you don't want to damage it so yeah Rex test let's find out okay so it could fit one down so a German car can fit a German dog that's right yeah visor test okay good I haven't tried this yet three two go to the left-hand one yeah I did not think you would do it okay so but I knew it was coming because I read the spec sheet and for 2018 every Mercedes C class gets extendable Sun visors full pass great job Mercedes Wow this extends so far I think we're actually changing the industry finally we are
are we actually like we're actually doing something positive or negative I don't know I think it's positive must be it did pass negative son positive eyes next cool thing what we started a patreon because you guys have been asking how to support us yes cool rewards check it out so we got a 9 speed transmission and it's really good if you don't use the paddles it's a little bit slow but you just leave it in auto and it's like seamless it's really ni ce transmission this isn't it's quick and it
handles well but it's not too sporty of a Mercedes no it's not an AMG this is very appropriate for what it is and we have a bunch of different modes so if you hit this dynamic button we have individual sport plus sport comfort and eco and I would like to point out that all the graphics move a lot quicker on this one than they did on the GLA 250 yes they do but Yuri's got a little bit of an issue with one or two of the graphics it's not a little issue it's a gigantic issue so when you click
vehicle data it'll show the car but then it'll go through screens of the car moving but when it goes through the screens it goes from like perfect HD to like 120 P like the crab not that bad crappiest iPhone resolution in the world it's only for a split second that it's it's how much this car cost and what are they giving you fair enough throttle the Internet's the net neutrality hit this car first like this is this is the w orst it's not that bad I think this graphic feature is the worst it's
not that bad any moving on should we move on you know 120p right now no in regular piece okay now we're back see look how awful that looked on YouTube that wasn't you can't do that in your Mercedes the suspensions really good it's really firm over bumps but it's not too firm it just absorbs them like the damping is really really good on the highway it's super comfortable and it handles really well for an all-whee l drive wagon like it doesn't push into corners it doesn't understeer that much
all-wheel drive Mercedes why I know what up that's an E Class though I noticed the handling on this when I took a left turn pretty quick yeah at alight and I'm like oh my goodness on winter tires doesn't understeer so manufacturers that understeer take a lesson one more thing about the infotainment that bothered me okay sometimes when you click the button in vehicle and then you click down you've got overlapping menus that bother me I agree that is actually a little bit thing you got a there's a
little bit of lag enos but it's way better than the GLA way better steel some like iPhone developers and just fix that next okay we're done with that yeah we're done besides there not being any satellite radio rewinding on here but it does have satellite radio and that's an option so to keep your e happy there actually is satellite rate can even rewind it but it has it yeah but it's just n ot as good speaking of the infotainment you can control it two different ways with this touchpad and then
this round pad yes so I disabled the touchpad right away because any time I try to use the round pad my palm would start doing crazy thing yeah you can't rest it on this that's it's fine once you turn it off you get used to it you can't touch the screen it's a little bit annoying but it's not that bad the volume knob is down here which I actually really like what I'm using that knob because like I could get over with like with like my ring finger or like pinky and just like it is comfortable to
use not gonna lie and the best part is they also give us hard buttons yeah everything thank you great job Mercedes and you get your heart climb upon this too so even though you can control all the climate from the infotainment you can also push all the hard buttons do the same stuff exactly between the hard buttons we get a nice analog clock yes that's a very cool c lock I'd like to have that as a watch I would too and above the clock we've got cool vents yes we do do you like these more or less
than the GLA 250 way more these feel premium I think they're not as good as the GLA 250 but I think they're great you know you can actually option the color of the vents I did not know that yeah that's very cool okay next thing in that area this wood trim stuff dark ash wood that's an option is it real wood or is it fake stuff it's called dark ash wood I 'm gonna assume it's real it feels pretty real yes I think it's real whether it's real or fake no it's real we like it all right so we hit up
all the driving stuff we haven't touched on the looks Yuri I think it's your time to drive let's do it but before I Drive check out these weird cupholders in the center console in the back so you need to push this button and then push that button and then you unfold like six things put in your coffee it pops right out and imagine if you took a sip and then you have to put it back every time what does it fit a small Tim Hortons coffee not with nothing in it look it pops right out no make sure
your coffee's full ready for one of Yuri's favorite features the reverse 360 camera it's really good it is not really good it's unreal yeah this is better than the Volvo more HD and no distortion so what do you think about it looks that it looks awesome where everywhere yeah pretty much exactly what about the front end specificall y the headlights the headlights don't really care too much for but I like that chrome lip at the bottom of the most I really like the headlights but the chrome lip is
cool too yeah that's part of the sport package which this has my problem with Mercedes looks as they look amazing every time they refresh every two years or so and then you know they just refresh and look so good every single time that they look dated very early I don't think the Mercedes looked dated at all not at all so like but you can see one that looked like wicked five years ago and you're like oh but it's like not nearly as cool as the newest one yeah protip the headlights if you see one
LED that's a c-class if you see two LEDs that's an E Class and three that's an S Class oh I didn't know that exactly intro tip part of the sport package you also get the wheels which I think are my favorite wheels on any AMG because these are AMG wheels oh do you like them they're alright that's it and I lo ve these wheels the front bumper is also different on the sport package it's like the AMG bumper the side skirts are also better-looking with the Sport Package as well I like the big swoop
across the doors on the side body line yes that is super cool that I'm an advertisement for Mercedes because I am a Mercedes yeah this car photographs way too well that's what I'm saying they all do and with the Sport Package on the rear bumper we also get these vented things in the sides which look really cool and the rear diffuser yes between the exhaust which looks awesome this overall looks like a very sharp wagon it does and we also have two packages so that we can open that lift gate by
just walking up to it it's pretty cool and you have to wave your foot around and sometimes you don't wave it on the right spot but then you find it and it opens and it's really successful okay it looks wise this or a Volvo wagon this I think Volvo wagon Volvo wagon is really good but I think I prefer this I think Volvo wagon because it's not going to be as dated as quickly as this design in my opinion I don't think they get dated at all so Mercedes as we know is the presence on the road in
the interior I know you have a lot of interior things to say about this yeah so I really like the interior in this I figured first things first when you open the door you have a mercedes banz on the door so yes part of one of the packages and it lights up I really like th e interior lights too yes the ambient lighting they give you oranges and blueish oh that's it yes but that's good because if you look at any like really cool movie poster they're always orange and blue true because those two
colors they do something to you and you like that they're contrasting colors they're like a weird contrasting colors that work really well for stuff looking cool the seats are really comfortable yes really comfortable they have lumbar support and them down and we have a headrest up and down here yes it works oh well you can trash it forward and back yeah okay the seats in the back are really good and part of one of the packages you can actually use the privacy covers in them they're manual but
you can actually lift them up and block yourself out from all the peasants outside the gauges are nice you got the similar one to the GLA they look great do you like the steering wheel I somewhat like the steering wheel but I feel like it's similar to the GLA but maybe a little bit better and it's heated okay which took ever for me to find it yeah I found it pretty quick but I had to look like this and I did it while driving it was like oh my god like I can't see if the lights on or off yes so
if you buy this car pull over and then find the heated steering wheel so that you know where it is for the future but at first it's really hard to find yeah it's one of the seven knobs and switches that hangs at the left side gas gauge test the right arrow is on the right side of the gas icon which means the gas tank is on the right side full pass full pass I also check this out don't do that when you're driving it's perfect do you guys want this maybe we'll give this away or not giving it away
all your you want some I mean I'm keeping this it's gone now adding it to my collection of old memes so we listed a lot of packages we didn't say any prices for any of those what are the prices $1,700 for the Sport Package w hich I think should be standard because the car looks really good I also agree with that this also has the $5,000 premium package the $2,300 Premium Plus package that heated steering wheel $250 satellite radio guess how much that is four hundred and seventy five dollars it
can't even remind that gets us to a total price of just below fifty seven thousand dollars that doesn't seem that bad exactly it's really not you still have ten grand in options because the base is 46 but 57,000 for this is pretty damn good I would definitely recommend buying this if you need all-wheel drive wagon that's pretty damn luxurious just buy this I would definitely recommend buying a wagon over a sedan yes but also an AMG they should make this into a c63 wagon like they have in Europe
