I'm Jacob I'm Yuri I'll go for a drive [Music] Porsche Panamera for a hybrid that's the big deal about this car you can drive fully electric it's amazing actually because it's a plug-in hybrid and it's still super fast it's still a Porsche really fast it still handles really well and it's still very fast yeah horsepower torque 462 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque so this is the v6 this is the v6 twin turbo with the hybrid motor that gives it more power there is a v8 there is a v8 there's

a turbo and there's a turbo s there's actually 16 different variations of Panamera's that you can get you know what I'm kind of cheesed about cheese cheese this doesn't have the cool spoiler it has a spoiler that goes up yes not look there is literally a spoiler that comes up splits in there another part comes out full Knight Rider mode full transformer mode yep yeah I'd say that's more Knight Rider but transformers dude sure sure was it transform I guess thank you back to the power it's pretty

much instant there is no lag the torque curve is pretty much dead flat from like 1500 rpm so you have power at any rpm all the time if you want a fast car that you can also drive fully electric watch out Tesla's yeah and if you want one that handles really well cliche corners send this is one of them it handles so well the suspension is amazing I absolutely love it it's so soft over bumps but still firm when you need it to be because we have different suspension settings so it's a Porsche it's

a Porsche it still handles like a Porsche it still looks like a Porsche so we got the boring power stuff out of the way let's get into the fun little things that make this a fun or not fun car piano black buttons oh that's not fun I don't want to talk about that Oh what buttons here our piano black we'll talk about that later overlay oh no no no we'll talk about that later real fun stuff the handling the power and everything about the drivetrain that is the be st part of this car yeah we were

talked about that yeah I know but it's the best part so I want to keep talking about it we have four different modes we have hybrid epower sport and we have a Sport Plus button and if you click this hybrid button there's three sub hybrid modes but we do have a button on this little dial called the sport response button and it's 20 seconds of full maximum attack it gives over boost from the turbos and then maximum power from the hyper drive train it doesn't recharge the batteries a lot of the new

portions have that if not all of them yeah I really like it it's really cool but I haven't noticed that much of a difference between Sport Plus and just pressing that button because Sport Plus is pretty much that button yeah and it puts you in the right gear and all that so if you're in any other mode and you push that button it pretty much puts you into support plus exactly which is pretty cool because you can have it an e power mode d riving silently comfortably and then you hit that button and

you're just off to the races basically now we can talk about the piano block everything yes and now I'm ready for it because I brought this with me today you're gonna use that pressing button touch a button yep look how greasy these buttons are I would way rather have the makaan buttons that we had earlier well I would wait rather have those and the previous panamera buttons because they were the same I actually don't mind t his I got used to it really quick and speaking of getting used to

everything I actually got used to everything in this car with the infotainment with the gauges in like half an hour of driving it not even sitting and reading and thinking while driving it it took me a little bit longer because it was a little bit overwhelming plus I was also really upset with all the piano black it's different but it is very intuitive it is very intuitive we don't have Android auto we have apple carplay because apple doesn't steal your data but maybe that's why the maps aren't

as good exactly steal my data Apple make Apple Maps great again I'd like to point out all of the gloss black so all of this is gloss black so you got to press a button and wipe it every single time then you have gloss black vents this Center event you cannot control with your hand it's through the infotainment which is ridiculous Yuri likes it I do not like it that's a cool party trick it's a party tr ick but it's really annoying anyways those vents are gloss black the turn signals are gloss

black the wiper stalk is gloss black the cruise control stock is gloss black my buttons to adjust my seat are gloss black and the windows are gloss black the buttons for them you're not the kind of person who appreciates that and you're also not the person to buy this cars no zip it it's someone that can afford to get their car detailed every single time they drive it perfect which is not me vizor testing box test three two one oh I know double visor that sucks is nothing box test let's find out

the best part of the looks of this do you know what it is no wait before looks I just want to say this transmission shifts a little bit slower than the one in the makan it's a 7-speed PDK which is again the gold standard PDK are the best autos which are not really autos other kind of autos anyways shifts a little bit slower in the makan now the looks up is down down is up on the shifter how cool is that which is different than the makan yeah cuz cars get up is down down is up and SUVs get up his

up/down is down because I assume what they're trying to say are as SUVs are for people who don't really care about driving but Porsche makes an SUV that for people that cares about driving which is the makan GTS and the turbos whatever okay it looks wise what do you think is my favourite part of the looks of this car I'm gonna say it's the rear hip nope acid green around the badges and the brake calipers yeah okay that's so cool I can't believe I fit that's not a rich person thing to have on

their car it's like a teenager thing to have and you know what they put it on anyways I'm so glad that they went with acid green instead of blue or calling it acid yellow like Hyundai does yeah exactly I don't like the headlights I do like them I don't like them in for LED mode but I do like them in the X pattern you know they have 84 individ ual LEDs because these are the upgraded lights nice they look pretty cool hey what kind of button you have to push to change your lights in this car piano

black piano black button thank you for pointing that out that I forgot what do you like about the looks I like the overall shape and those rear shoulders because that's my favorite part which some people call hips but their shoulders I think my next favorite part is the color of this car because I don't like flat gray cementy gray but that's what this is but this has some beige in it this is called chalk and in front of everything the coolest thing is we've got a green license plate which

means you can go in the HOV Lane and park at grocery stores nice and close you can go by yourself in the HOV which is nice so you can have a very fast car in the HOV and save the environment but still have a nice car save the environment in Sport Plus mode that's right no one has to know that you're driving in Sport Pl us mode if you're somehow able to not put your foot down and leave it in hybrid mode or even electric mode you can actually get 3.8 liters per hundred kilometers or 62 miles per

gallon that's really good yeah exactly I don't have an issue driving this thing slow I have less of an issue with this than most other cars you know why because it's a plug-in hybrid because it doesn't sound that good it's not crazy if you put in Sport+ it sounds much better because I mean if you have it an E or hybrid you don't know but even even in Sport+ it's not as wild as I'd want it to be for a Porsche so I might as well just drive it slow anyways it's very refined every time I Drive a

Porsche the one thing that always stands out is the quality do you notice that everything just feels so solid the way the doors closed which are soft closed which is an option the way the steering wheel feels the way the paddles feel the way the metal behind the paddles feels it's just the quali ty that you don't get with other car manufacturers one of my favorite parts about driving a Porsche it's behind the wheel yeah obviously the screens oh no no that stuff no no no the daily driving this of

it and how easy it is to use I love the driving position of Porsches that's the thing that they always nail you're always low to the ground you always have to look over the hood in the lowest driving position and there's so much room for a helmet in every single car because they've n ever changed anything for like the longest time they just kept making the same one slightly different if you get it right why change it let's hit up more of the uri's daily driving stuff so all of his little gauges

kilometers on a full electric charge on pure battery mode that's pretty good for daily driving yeah you just plug it in and go or what I noticed if you leave it in Sport+ it'll recharge the battery fully so you could drive like a goon and then have full electr ic range as well or leave it in hybrid to just let it do its thing is that a very efficient probably not yeah but it charges the battery exactly that's life okay the cool stuff about this car let's start with the gauges go for it we've got

an analog gauge in the center which I love it's got a bigger numbered display then the makaan had yes it's like a real digital number I like it a lot and the font the fonts are good we also have two screens on the side of the analog gauge they're b oth digital on the left and right they're kind of like imitation circles of the other portions but they're good but they're very high-rez and you pretty much can't tell the difference between them and the analog gauge yeah and they've got a lot of

options in them you can use these little ball wheels to control everything the only thing that sucks you can't go through your presets with this diamond button you can only program it to go through channels I actually programmed it to c ontrol the lift on the suspension I had a program four channels but not presets that's like come on you have to use a touch button so that leads me to the infotainment the infotainment very good it's very intuitive it's different so it takes some time to learn

it definitely does but everything is there it's got the cool menu on the Left which I've never seen any other car have you can't rewind satellite radio stations but whatever speaking of satellite radio stations there's a new channel on seventeen called pop rocks ok I like that a lot alright here you haven't actually tried launch control in this yet have you no I haven't so I assume Sport Plus yes hold the brake hold the gas and let it go exactly oh my goodness that's that's very aggressive I was

as concentrated face that's how you know it's hard okay there's like the best of both worlds would you like to talk about the gauges some more yeah yeah okay enough of the power it's a tricky layout but everythin g's there you've got your radio going you've got other things on the right you can withdraw your vents if you go to your settings you've kind of got that PDF style for everything that's going on and you've got hard buttons kind of right over here what I find annoying and the first time I

press these buttons the ones in the upper section are only touch and the ones in the lower section for climate and your suspension and stuff are all touch click you get a feedback from the bottom butt ons exactly but the top buttons got this nice chrome thing and I guess I click click feedback sound so the only annoying so I had was I was pressing the bottom buttons and not getting any feedback and nothing was happening because I wasn't pressing hard enough and then I had to wipe it yeah below

the vent we've got this knob what does that control that is your infotainment knob check that out it's like a scroll wheel and then below that we've got a volume slider which I like it's g ot that Genesis style ledge so it's really easy to click the buttons while resting your hands they're very true the sound system is really good oh it's amazing but I guess like luxury cars they're all nice yeah they have to be and then another thing you can control from your gauges cronograph yeah because this

has the Sport Chrono Package now for the couple to test we're gonna do things a little special this time grab that Starbucks coffee over there pull Starbucks small Timmy's smal l Starbucks the Timmy's doesn't really fit here it swallows it up here it fits but the grips are really strong and it pulls the lid off the Starbucks fits fine in the front and it fits fine in the back it's not a pass for Timmy's but it's a pass for Starbucks there you go not sponsored by either one not yet let's talk

about the seats unreal super comfortable love them bolstering could be a little bit more but there's actually another level of seats that you can click a button and check off I do like the seats and I think the back seats are just as cool because they look exactly the same this is basically a sedan for executives but this isn't the executive version because that's a longer wheelbase it's for your executive friends as well you got got an executive lunch breaks yeah exactly this is the executive

lunch break are for sure so the back even has climate control and a nice screen and everything for there more gloss black buttons back there you can cha nge the radio station and the volume but I think you can't change the volume unless the volumes already on here and there's decent room back there you fit behind yourself I actually fit behind myself very comfortably surprise surprise the one thing I don't like these kind of seats that don't have a headrest that moves forward or back I guess

they're good if you're wearing a helmet because you got extra room I like race seats every car I like to rest my head against the headrest l ike right here while driving normally I like maximum race car all the time what I like that you can adjust through this infotainment is the suspension lift and all the hybrid options they're very nice really cool to have and those settings are really easy to get to you just click this piano black car button oh let me wipe that for you ah okay thank you but

did I mean it's all there right it's all there yeah you can lift the spoiler up while driving you just hold that button and boom let me wipe that for you and let me put that back down sir please stop touching this I need a wife and then oh please stop touching this back to your favorite stuff the power the four in Panamera four means it's all wheel drive but it feels very rear-wheel drive and if you look at that gauge it actually tells you that it's pretty much a rear-wheel drive most of the

time what I also like the g-force gauge you can show how much g-force you're pulling or you can make it set to the m aximum G that you pulled in the car exactly it's actually so good the option that they have in their gas gauge test it passes with flying colors because you know where the gas tank is and you know where the battery tank is yeah battery tank you initiate with the battery tank I did it's actually difficult to open I clicked it with my fingers nope I had to put almost the full force

of my palm to get it to open and close so I'm not sure what's up with that this does have the optional 7 .2 kilowatt chargers so it charges twice as fast as the base one in here and I hope you've got big muscles yeah because that cable is really heavy I don't know why it's so big and heavy but it is let's finish off with the price as we always do I got a guess 110,000 ish no I'm sorry to tell you that this starts at one hundred and thirteen thousand and it is one hundred and thirty seven thousand

three forty dollars and you can keep checking boxes yeah but this is pretty cool the price y ou pay in order to drive a fuel-efficient rocketship basically I think it's kind of good yeah cuz it's more of like a like a nephew to the Tesla guys think about it it kind of is this is the future of where Porsche is going and I appreciate it you're probably almost as fast as a Tesla but then you don't have to charge ever and you recharge yourself we can also be electric in order to get that kind of

mileage it's crazy because you can still send it hard when you want to but you c an also drive it basically more fuel-efficient than a Honda Fit or something like that which is insane it is pretty if you think about that very split second it's twice as good as the Honda Fit is in terms of fuel mileage dang and on that note don't forget to subscribe notification about patreon the consul's the straight pipes and don't forget to enter the contest for the Eco beat light switch and eco be for free go
